Grant by Walter Carpenter of Tykenherst, the younger, to Agnes, late the wife of Thomas Carpenter of Hamwolde, for the term of her life, of 2 messuages in the vill of Sandwich, one in the parish of St.Clement, the other in the parish of St. Mary there, between the tenement of William Teghelere on the south and the public street to the east and the messuage of John Persoun to the west and other messuage situated near the part of the town by the sea, in a lane called Metrecreslane, between the messuage of William Clerk to the north and that of Andrew Austyn to the south and the public street to the east; an acre of land in the parish of Wodnesbergh at Southamhold in a place called Grete, between the holding of the abbot and convent of St. Augustine, Canterbury to the east, and the land of John Dolle of Hamwold to the west, and on the public road to the south and the land which was held by Thomas Carpenter to the north; all of which he had, together with Herny Watte of Hamwold, deceased, of the feoffment of the said Thomas. Dated at Sandwich on the Saturday after SS. Fabiam and Sebastian, martyrs, 14 Richard II.
